"The older you get, the more you realize that it isn't about the material things, or pride, or ego. It is about our hearts and who they beat for." - R.A. I have said it before, but it is often the in between, unposed moments that I love the most. What an amazing day, to see my friend this happy gives me goosebumps. What makes it better? It was on a day she married an incredible guy. I am truly blessed to have the friends I do. Their wedding day was amazing. I could tell once we arrived on Friday that everything would be perfect, and if it wasn't nobody would be stressed. It was lovely to meet both of their families and see how close & ac ...

I could tell because they breezed through the session, with love in their eyes and smiles on their faces. They have planned a magical winter wedding and I cannot wait for it! Their love is humble and grounded. Very inspiring. Thank you for allowing me to capture it.

New Zealand Adventures | Life of a Travelling Photographer
"Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer." - Unknown AH! Where do I begin?! What an absolute whirlwind the last month and a half have been! I went to Toronto and had a fabulous week & then was off to New Zealand! Jim (...my now FIANCE`...feels so cool saying that) is originally from New Zealand, so we do travel back often. I have a few mixed emotions about returning, because it is where dad passed away, but it is such a beautiful place filled with lovely people, that it is hard not to! Jim took my friend Meg (from Ram Head Outfitters) Tahr hunting the first few days, while I did some catching up with friends. I got to spend ...

"The best kiss is the one that has been exchanged a thousand times between the eyes before it reaches the lips." I originally met these two at a friend's wedding that I was taking photos for...& I was thrilled when they asked me to be their photographer! It was so much fun spending the afternoon together & "hiking" into Johnston canyon. They were such troopers....and their admiration for one and other gives me goosebumps. It is beyond words describing how easy it is to work with couples so in love, everything just comes natural to them. I am stoked for their wedding next year! (...talk about organized ;))   This has been one of my fav ...

Basic Essentials | A Photography Class
"The more I learn, the more excited I get." - Johnny Cash (thank you to Randi & Aurora Images for the photos) GOOD morning, everyone!! I have been getting quite a few enquiries lately about photography & the basics of the DSLR camera...so I decided to host a course!! 2 years ago, I attended a course held by Meg Courntey & that is when I really got my start. I was so thankful for having the basics put into terms I could understand. This was great, because it is super easy to get bogged down online looking up different aspects of your camera & photography in general! I of course know that I still have so much to learn, but I wo ...

A Return Ticket & Realization
A few weeks ago, I saw a quote that resinated with me. - "We take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone." (I immediately pinned it & added it to my website...haha!) It brought me back to my "why". I have been taking photos professionally for about two and a half years now. Prior to this my dad used to tease me about not taking any. I have no idea why I didn't, maybe I was too busy or caught in the moment at a particular time...it was two and a half years ago that dad passed, and ever since then I have regretted the moments I did not capture. We spent quite a few days together (with mom) in New Zealand & I would hassle h ...
