Brennen & Heather | Rocking R Guest Ranch Wedding

“You bring out the best in me. I don’t mean better manners or a sense of maturity, or whatever else this tired world expects of me. I mean you make me want to climb roofs. run wild and act inappropriately, take risks and pursue my dreams with passion and integrity. Around you, I start living.” – Beau Taplin

Going back through these photos reminded me the importance of my job. I immediately was able to relive the moments and emotion from the day. Having never met Heather & Brennen prior to their big day, I was a wee bit nervous. They welcomed my second shooter (Vicki Loader Photography) & I in with open arms and warm smiles. The entire day was filled with love & joy.

We couldn’t have dreamt a more beautiful day & evening. I always pull my couples away for sunset (even if the sun isn’t out) because it allows for an opportunity to take in your love & the day, having a moment together…not to mention it is always the best lighting!

My 2017 weekends are now full until November & my 2018 is booking quicker than I have ever imagined! I am incredibly grateful, and if you would like me to document your day please get in touch sooner rather than later to ensure I have your day available.

Happiest of weekends, everyone!

You are my happy place. What a great wedding to end this year's wedding season, and I felt like this photo & her beautiful smile sums up the day ♡ Emotions ran high as Shelby was helped into her stunning dress & revealed herself to her father. We then made our way to the church...where there was a wonderful vibe, as friends and family filled the gorgeous space in Lacombe, Alberta. We were lucky enough to be able to get a few photos at the local corn maze and Shelby's grandparents farm. The fall colours came alive for a little sunset session... A fun filled dance began, and everyone was able to relax. I was honoured to capture su ...

"He's not perfect. You aren't either. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can. He isn't going to quote poetry, he's not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Don't hurt him, don't change him, and don't expect more than he can give. Don't analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he's not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don't exist, but there's always one guy that is perfect for ...

"Let someone love you just the way you are - as flawed as you might be, as unnatractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room." - the things we say I was super nervous for this session... not because of the couple, but because it was mostly shot indoors & that is definitely not my forte. It was so nice to be able to take the session slow & have such an understandi ...
