Bryan & Kendra | Acme Wedding Photographer

“The older you get, the more you realize that it isn’t about the material things, or pride, or ego. It is about our hearts and who they beat for.” – R.A.

I have said it before, but it is often the in between, unposed moments that I love the most. What an amazing day, to see my friend this happy gives me goosebumps. What makes it better? It was on a day she married an incredible guy.

I am truly blessed to have the friends I do. Their wedding day was amazing. I could tell once we arrived on Friday that everything would be perfect, and if it wasn’t nobody would be stressed. It was lovely to meet both of their families and see how close & accommodating they all are. I am sure Jim is sick of hearing me say I want a wedding just like theirs!

One of my favourite parts of the wedding was the location: Bryan & Kendra’s first home. How cool is that? AND what a beauty of a spot they have!

The ceremony was perfect and I think the smiles on their faces say it all!! The wedding party were such troopers during photos, it was bloody hot out, but we were able to knock off photos without a complaint!

The reception was awesome! An amazing spread, including BURGERS (I love burgers….) was cooked for dinner by Sunterra Market. The first dance was great, but I have to say Kendra’s father’s dance moves may have stole the show 😉

I could not be happier with how the day went, and feel so honoured that they asked me to play such an important role in their day. We snuck away to take in the sunset (I would TOTALLY recommend doing this to everyone who is getting married). It allows for time to take in the day, each other, and relax a bit….. and the light is perfect at this time 🙂

I want to send out a HUGE thank you to my ASSISTANT (haha) Katie for all of her help through the day. She was such a life saver, and kept the mood light & things flowing. Also, Bryan’s family for cooking for us & Kendra’s family for being so accommodating. SUCH a great day / evening. If you have a wedding coming up in 2016 & are interested in having me capture it – please let me know, I would love to hear from you!

Happy Thursday!!

"Falling for him wasn't falling at all. It was walking into a house and suddenly knowing you're home." -r.i.d. (press play) Florals: Flowers by Willows Hair & Makeup: Sparrow Beauté There is something so incredibly brave about eloping, and focusing on your love for one and other. We have been planning this elopement for quite some time and it was been incredibly hard to keep it a secret!! I'm so humbled to document such an intimate showing of love. Here's to many more years Elopements definitely aren't for everyone, but it looks good on these two <3 O ...

"Find someone who makes you realize three things; one, that home is not a place, but a feeling. Two, that time is not measured by a clock, but by moments. And three, that heartbeats are not heard, but felt & shared." - unknown It was pouring rain on my way to their session & right after it. Some might say luck was on our side, others that someone dialled it up for us. These two. I seriously could not get enough of them. I have known Dusty for a while & it was awesome to catch up & meet Brad. Dusty said she always wanted to date someone who worked in the same field as her, and when she met Brad it was fate. You can tell how ki ...

I would like to start off by saying these are NOT engagement photos (haha). This is the second time I have taken photos for Glenn & Kristen (known to us by Doc & Dong) and they have been asked numerous times if they were engaged after the first set of photos. We wanted to make it clear that they are not engaged…..yet ;) . You cannot help but feel the love they share for one and other, as well as their friends and family.     There is just something so magical about winter photos, I cannot get enough of them!      Sometimes bad roads are worth great photos!
