Bryan & Kendra | Acme Wedding Photographer

“The older you get, the more you realize that it isn’t about the material things, or pride, or ego. It is about our hearts and who they beat for.” – R.A.

I have said it before, but it is often the in between, unposed moments that I love the most. What an amazing day, to see my friend this happy gives me goosebumps. What makes it better? It was on a day she married an incredible guy.

I am truly blessed to have the friends I do. Their wedding day was amazing. I could tell once we arrived on Friday that everything would be perfect, and if it wasn’t nobody would be stressed. It was lovely to meet both of their families and see how close & accommodating they all are. I am sure Jim is sick of hearing me say I want a wedding just like theirs!

One of my favourite parts of the wedding was the location: Bryan & Kendra’s first home. How cool is that? AND what a beauty of a spot they have!

The ceremony was perfect and I think the smiles on their faces say it all!! The wedding party were such troopers during photos, it was bloody hot out, but we were able to knock off photos without a complaint!

The reception was awesome! An amazing spread, including BURGERS (I love burgers….) was cooked for dinner by Sunterra Market. The first dance was great, but I have to say Kendra’s father’s dance moves may have stole the show 😉

I could not be happier with how the day went, and feel so honoured that they asked me to play such an important role in their day. We snuck away to take in the sunset (I would TOTALLY recommend doing this to everyone who is getting married). It allows for time to take in the day, each other, and relax a bit….. and the light is perfect at this time 🙂

I want to send out a HUGE thank you to my ASSISTANT (haha) Katie for all of her help through the day. She was such a life saver, and kept the mood light & things flowing. Also, Bryan’s family for cooking for us & Kendra’s family for being so accommodating. SUCH a great day / evening. If you have a wedding coming up in 2016 & are interested in having me capture it – please let me know, I would love to hear from you!

Happy Thursday!!

Cody & Leah | Fairmont Engagement Session
"What you should look for in a partner is someone who grounds your ego but lifts your spirit, who moves you to pursue your wildest dreams but reels you back to reality when you need it, who applauds you on the rewards of your successes but never allows you to lose sigh of the reason you started." - Beau Taplin Having grown up with Cody, I am super stoked for him to find such a gem!! I have loved getting to know Leah more & it was an easy answer when they asked to have their engagement photos taken in Fairmont. The long drive was made worthwhile by witnessing friends in love. Living outside of a small town, I d ...

A Little Adventure | in the NWT
“The very basic core of a (wo)man's living spirit is (her) passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.” - Christopher McCandless What an amazing few weeks. We have been looking forward to this trip for almost a year now, it is crazy that it has now come and gone.... but what an unbelievable trip it was. I have heard Meg & Bailey (of Ram Head Outfitters) talk of their area for years now & although I have seen photos, they never really did the area justice. The open count ...
