When you do what you love with passion, success won’t be far away.

What a year. If you would have asked me 10 years (or even 5 years) ago what I would be doing with my life, being a photographer would have never even CROSSED my mind…. and here I am. It is funny that the whole reason I started taking photos, to tell other’s stories & provide everlasting proof of their bonds with one and other, keeps being reiterated to me. Personally, I have had a year of adventure, loss, hardships, joy & triumph. Everything that happens seems to affect the route of my photo business. I recently made photography my full time career, and I couldn’t be more pleased. You often hear it said that if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life…. it is ALMOST true. I love taking photos, but of course there is a lot more than snapping shots… and I often find myself bogged down in the boring bits; like the accounting or contracts side of things. Even with these boring details, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

As for 2016 – it is going to be a big one. Filled with courses, conventions, adventure, my own wedding, …and heaps of others! I cannot believe that my little business has grown this much in one year. I have so many people to thank for contributing to my success, I definitely didn’t get this far on my own.

I am currently in the process of revamping a few things, and creating a more structured & cohesive business. I am constantly learning & growing photography wise, I feel like it is a never-ending process. Within this, I am finding the sessions I love and perhaps eventually a niche within the vast photo world. I will be ending the days of saying “yes” to every session, and am now allowing myself to choose only the sessions that I love and people who I connect with.

Thank you to everyone for the continuous support over 2015 & I cannot wait to see what 2016 has in store.

Love always,

Ang
