CHEERS | to a new year.

When you do what you love with passion, success won’t be far away.

What a year. If you would have asked me 10 years (or even 5 years) ago what I would be doing with my life, being a photographer would have never even CROSSED my mind…. and here I am. It is funny that the whole reason I started taking photos, to tell other’s stories & provide everlasting proof of their bonds with one and other, keeps being reiterated to me. Personally, I have had a year of adventure, loss, hardships, joy & triumph. Everything that happens seems to affect the route of my photo business. I recently made photography my full time career, and I couldn’t be more pleased. You often hear it said that if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life…. it is ALMOST true. I love taking photos, but of course there is a lot more than snapping shots… and I often find myself bogged down in the boring bits; like the accounting or contracts side of things. Even with these boring details, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

As for 2016 – it is going to be a big one. Filled with courses, conventions, adventure, my own wedding, …and heaps of others! I cannot believe that my little business has grown this much in one year. I have so many people to thank for contributing to my success, I definitely didn’t get this far on my own.

I am currently in the process of revamping a few things, and creating a more structured & cohesive business. I am constantly learning & growing photography wise, I feel like it is a never-ending process. Within this, I am finding the sessions I love and perhaps eventually a niche within the vast photo world. I will be ending the days of saying “yes” to every session, and am now allowing myself to choose only the sessions that I love and people who I connect with.

Thank you to everyone for the continuous support over 2015 & I cannot wait to see what 2016 has in store.

Love always,

Ang

It was such a pleasure to photograph two people so in love, in such a private setting. If you are interested in something similar, let me know - I would love to hear from you :)

"Watch carefully, the magic that occurs when you give a person just enough comfort to be themselves." - atticus I am thrilled to have these two in my 2016 lineup; and spending time with them really reassured me how wonderful they are. Flowing seamlessly through poses and laughing with one and other, they made my job easy. They really make things look easy; but I have found my easiest sessions are with those who truly love one and other. I had a look at where their wedding will be taking place; truly lovely. It all makes me very excited for this summer! I still have a few weekends open! If you are interested in having me capture your ...

You are home. I believe the most photogenic people are those who don't think they are. We had such a fun afternoon, Coltyn & Erika were troopers bearing the 100 mile an hour (well, maybe not quite) wind, sand in the eyes and colder weather! We then made our way down into a little area with a couple of waterfalls.... it was worth the adventure! I seriously could have taken photos of these two all night, but unfortunately this time of year the sun is setting a bit too early! I am now booking 2016 wedding consultations & my weekends are filling fast (especially with our own wedding!). Let me know if you are interested, I would love to ...
