CHEERS | to a new year.

When you do what you love with passion, success won’t be far away.

What a year. If you would have asked me 10 years (or even 5 years) ago what I would be doing with my life, being a photographer would have never even CROSSED my mind…. and here I am. It is funny that the whole reason I started taking photos, to tell other’s stories & provide everlasting proof of their bonds with one and other, keeps being reiterated to me. Personally, I have had a year of adventure, loss, hardships, joy & triumph. Everything that happens seems to affect the route of my photo business. I recently made photography my full time career, and I couldn’t be more pleased. You often hear it said that if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life…. it is ALMOST true. I love taking photos, but of course there is a lot more than snapping shots… and I often find myself bogged down in the boring bits; like the accounting or contracts side of things. Even with these boring details, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

As for 2016 – it is going to be a big one. Filled with courses, conventions, adventure, my own wedding, …and heaps of others! I cannot believe that my little business has grown this much in one year. I have so many people to thank for contributing to my success, I definitely didn’t get this far on my own.

I am currently in the process of revamping a few things, and creating a more structured & cohesive business. I am constantly learning & growing photography wise, I feel like it is a never-ending process. Within this, I am finding the sessions I love and perhaps eventually a niche within the vast photo world. I will be ending the days of saying “yes” to every session, and am now allowing myself to choose only the sessions that I love and people who I connect with.

Thank you to everyone for the continuous support over 2015 & I cannot wait to see what 2016 has in store.

Love always,

Ang

This couple. Unbelievable. Dominique & Brett were the winners of the engagement session I gave away at Bridal Fantasy. After doing some research & agreeing upon this location, I could not wait to see the cave in person. Although the weather outside wasn't cooperative, inside it was unreal. Upon getting to know them while we hiked through the snow & wind, I realized just how adorable they are. My favourite part of their story is when Bre ...

"Your soulmate is not that comes into your life peacefully. It is who comes to make you question things, who changes your reality, somebody that marks a before and after in your life. It is not the human being that everyone has idealized, but the ordinary person, who manages to revolutionize your world in a second." - anonymous I loved this engagement session. It was so fun to take photos around their farm with their animals, in meaningful places. They were also absolute troopers, bearing the cold like champs!! I always offer couples a complimentary engagement session when booking a wedding for a few reasons, but the main one being it give ...
