CHEERS | to a new year.

When you do what you love with passion, success won’t be far away.

What a year. If you would have asked me 10 years (or even 5 years) ago what I would be doing with my life, being a photographer would have never even CROSSED my mind…. and here I am. It is funny that the whole reason I started taking photos, to tell other’s stories & provide everlasting proof of their bonds with one and other, keeps being reiterated to me. Personally, I have had a year of adventure, loss, hardships, joy & triumph. Everything that happens seems to affect the route of my photo business. I recently made photography my full time career, and I couldn’t be more pleased. You often hear it said that if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life…. it is ALMOST true. I love taking photos, but of course there is a lot more than snapping shots… and I often find myself bogged down in the boring bits; like the accounting or contracts side of things. Even with these boring details, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

As for 2016 – it is going to be a big one. Filled with courses, conventions, adventure, my own wedding, …and heaps of others! I cannot believe that my little business has grown this much in one year. I have so many people to thank for contributing to my success, I definitely didn’t get this far on my own.

I am currently in the process of revamping a few things, and creating a more structured & cohesive business. I am constantly learning & growing photography wise, I feel like it is a never-ending process. Within this, I am finding the sessions I love and perhaps eventually a niche within the vast photo world. I will be ending the days of saying “yes” to every session, and am now allowing myself to choose only the sessions that I love and people who I connect with.

Thank you to everyone for the continuous support over 2015 & I cannot wait to see what 2016 has in store.

Love always,

Ang

I would like to start off by saying these are NOT engagement photos (haha). This is the second time I have taken photos for Glenn & Kristen (known to us by Doc & Dong) and they have been asked numerous times if they were engaged after the first set of photos. We wanted to make it clear that they are not engaged…..yet ;) . You cannot help but feel the love they share for one and other, as well as their friends and family.     There is just something so magical about winter photos, I cannot get enough of them!      Sometimes bad roads are worth great photos! "The human spirit needs places where nature has not been rearranged by the hand of man" I have known Chelsea for a few years now, and travelled a bit together. With this, I found out how adventurous her soul is and it is something I truly admire. I am so happy that she has found someone to compliment her ever-seeking personality....and even more thrilled they asked me to photograph their wedding!! It was a perfect relaxed day, with a quaint audience at hand. It gives me goosebumps just thinking back to the day! Their ceremony was intimate and emotional. Afterwards we explored the mountain tops and found some great places for photos! If you a ...

"He's not perfect. You aren't either. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can. He isn't going to quote poetry, he's not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Don't hurt him, don't change him, and don't expect more than he can give. Don't analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he's not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don't exist, but there's always one guy that is perfect for ...
