Courtney & Shorty | Central Alberta Wedding Photographer

All because two people fell in love.

Gosh! Although this wedding was a wee while ago (SORRY, I have been the worst blogger), it seems like yesterday…& going through these photos makes me melt all over again. I have been speaking with these two for quite a while now and was looking forward to their wedding all season. What a fun group of people!!

They decided to do a first look – it was beautiful. As Courtney waited in the woods, Shorty snuck up behind her blindfolded. The raw emotion to fallowed was unforgettable.

They are such a beautiful couple, both so excited to spend their lives together. The ceremony was in a beautiful spot down by the river on Courtney’s parents place. The smell of fall was in the air as people happily gathered to share in their day.

It is SO crazy that wedding season is already over, but I am super happy with how this summer went. I couldn’t have done it without the help of my second shooter (and good friend), Randi! I have lots of new things in store for the fall / winter (and one more wedding to blog)….so stay tuned!!! I am also now booking 2016 wedding consultations, please message me if you are interested in having me a part of your day.

"A beautiful heart can bring things into your life that all the money in the world couldn't obtain" - Dau Voire This quote reminds me so much of Grace. I could not imagine a more beautiful lady, both inside and out. Being Jim (my boyfriend)'s mom, she is always there for us. I was trying to think of a wee way to repay her for all she does….so I took a few flicks of her gorgeous garden. …and a few more…. then made them into postcards :) If you are interested in something similar, let me know - I would love to hear from you! Have a great weekend!! xo

"I got lost in him, and it's the kind of lost that's exactly like being found." - Claire Lazebnik It is sort of stressful for me never having met my clients prior to taking their photos, but it turned out to be a small world & it was almost like we knew each other! These two stuck it out in the cold & wind...all in the name of a good photo! Hair & Makeup: Sparrow Beauté Megan hired Nathan as her ferrier years ago & the rest, as they say, is history. We toured around Abraham Lake & got to know one and other a bit more. I always say you can tell how in love people are by how easy it is to take their photos.... & of cour ...

"The best kiss is the one that has been exchanged a thousand times between the eyes before it reaches the lips." I originally met these two at a friend's wedding that I was taking photos for...& I was thrilled when they asked me to be their photographer! It was so much fun spending the afternoon together & "hiking" into Johnston canyon. They were such troopers....and their admiration for one and other gives me goosebumps. It is beyond words describing how easy it is to work with couples so in love, everything just comes natural to them. I am stoked for their wedding next year!
