My Why.

I have been taking photos (regularly) now for almost a year…and LOVE it. It is funny to think that a year ago I was the girl who couldn’t be bothered taking pictures, or I was just too busy to think of it! Having travelled a bit, my dad would often tease me saying I would take one photo for every country I had been.

SO WHY? Why and where did I begin?

After my dad passed away in October 2012, I really realized the value of a photo. My mom and dad had travelled to New Zealand, where I had been travelling & living for 8 months. Dad was the typical tourist taking photos on his iPad!! As embarrassing as it may have been, words cannot describe how thankful I now am for these photos. Dad passed away in New Zealand, and ever since I have been snapping photos.

Although not the best photos, I cherish each and every one I have with my dad.

I LOVE being able to give friends (and clients, soon to be friends) photos they will cherish.

Thank you all for the love and support!

I couldn't have asked for a better couple to take photos for my first wedding! They are seriously great!! The day started pretty early & everyone was in great spirits. We had lots of laughs and a few tears getting ready... After a few formalities, it was official! Next, we headed down to a gorgeous spot by the river... Every little detail of the day was so well thought out. ...and they danced the night away! Thanks Chad & Jerica for having me there to capture your day. I wish you both nothing but love & happiness, and judging by the times we have hung out your lives will be filled with joy. Also, a massive t ...

LOVE. it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. love never fails. - Corinthians 13:7-8 The roads and weather were frightful, but the company was a delight. I feel like I am always repeating myself, but I am SO fortunate to have such great clients. I love how I am able to get to know people during their engagement session & I always feel like we leave as friends. Ruth and Derek were no exception. AND how beautiful is this floral crown from Willow Flower Co.? They braved the blizzard with laughs and love....all in the name of a good photo, right? I cannot wait for these two's big d ...

"I just need you. and some sunsets" - atticus I have followed Travis (from Calyx Floral Design) for ages & felt like I knew her! It is always nerve racking taking photos for another creative, but they made my job SO incredibly easy. When two people love & are comfortable with one and other, they roll through "poses" so easily. Little would you know the wind was almost blowing them away & their fingers & faces were FREEZING. #troopers. This is probably my favourite photo (Murray you are such a good sport!!). Engagement sessions are now in full swing & I am so lucky to get to photograph the best of lov ...
