“For us it all started on our beer league Slo Pitch team. I remember Justin sliding right up next to me on the bench always particularly interested in the score when it was my turn to score keep. After what felt like a long Slo-Pitch season and many chats on the bench, Justin finally worked up the courage to ask me on a lil datenight. From there, we started as any young couple does heading out on adventures any chance we could. Whether it be heading to the mountains, around home with friends/family, or travelling the world, we were always doing something. Our first date actually started with a movie and ended with a spontaneous trip to the mountains at midnight. It was the best, and right from there, I knew this guy was something special. Before we knew it, things started to get pretty serious. In the last 4 years we have gone through all those expected stages you get to take on as couple like, travelling, getting a doggo, building a home, moving in together, and now planning our wedding. But in our case I believe it was the unexpected stage we were pushed into that really deepened our love for one another. Three years ago Justin was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and has been battling with it ever since. Although there isn’t a day that goes by that we both wish this wasn’t part of our story, it is and I do believe our relationship has gained some great things from it…a greater appreciation for one another (and our families), a better understanding of what is and what is not important, and just how much we wouldn’t want anyone else by our side regardless of the journey we are on ❤️. Our “love story” is far from perfect but I wouldn’t have it any other way, and I am so so soooooo excited to stand up this summer and marry my best friend!” – Taylor
